Woxsen program curriculums addresses ethics, responsibility and sustainability issues through adherence to the United Nations Principles of Responsible and Management Education (PRME). To help our students develop a deeper understanding of environmental issues and promote sustainable practices in their personal and professional lives, Woxsen integrated REC (Regional Environmental Centre) contribution in its curriculum. REC facilitates the exchange of knowledge and best practices, support the implementation of sustainable development policies and initiatives as part of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) under United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).

Many high-profile faculty at Woxsen are experts in the domains of sustainable energy economics, clean water, inequality, etc which align with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With their expertise, the faculty is committed to embed values of social responsibility in students, through various means.
With 100+ academic partners, 20+ corporate collaborations in CSR and numerous NGOs in the roster, the university has joined hands with some of the most-able individuals and organizations to ensure the materialization of the SDGs.
Similarly, the university works closely with PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) across various segments such as pedagogical innovations and cross-institutional ESG projects. Woxsen University was recognized for its social impact and sustainability achievements when the Positive Impact Rating (PIR) results were unveiled on 3rd June 2022, at the UN PRME Global Forum. Woxsen stood out amongst all the leading business schools selected across 5 continents and 21 countries, and went on to achieve Level 5 - Pioneering School globally, in line with PIR requirements.

The University offers its students the opportunity to engage in various social initiatives that can widen their horizons, make a positive impact, help them gain new perspectives while making a difference in people's lives. Here are a few initiatives and inventions that support the implementation of ERS.
Project Aspiration
+The Centre for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiated ‘Project Aspiration’ as a series of sessions through which female students in non-favourable social conditions are trained on SMART goals, aspects of future, mental health, life skills, counselling & more. The training program is conducted by MBA students alongside the faculty of Woxsen.
Street Cause
+Hyderabad’s division of Street Cause, a nationwide entity that focuses on social uplifting of rural India, is run by the students of Woxsen University. The students contribute to the cause through various fundraising campaigns, educating children from rural areas across Hyderabad, donations and more such activities.
Project Vertical Farming
+Woxsen University embraces ERS & is evolving into modern sustainable ‘farmers’ by investigating vertical farming methods on campus. By utilizing technology and indoor growing techniques, vertical farming provides a solution by increasing crop yields while lowering the amount of land and water needed for farming.
Portable De-moisturizer for natural produce
+Invented by B.Tech students at Woxsen University(patented), Portable de-moisturizer is a de-moisturising device for drying up of natural produce in limited time with no wastage. The device can be temporarily attached to a vehicle for portability making it more user-friendly to the farmers.
Woxsen-Monmouth Elevate Program
+Woxsen University in collaboration with Monmouth University initiated a six-month Social Impact Project named 'Woxsen-Monmouth Elevate Programme', a six-month social impact project aimed towards the upliftment of the lesser privileged students of Telangana.
Elevate Program has come into existence with a strong vision to become a support system to the weaker sections of the society, in alignment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which focuses on Good Health & Well-being, Quality Education, Reduced Inequalities and Economic Growth. +Woxsen Metaverse Odessey, the virtual reality experience that takes the users into the world of Woxsen SDG city. This experience immersesthe users into the world of futuristic sustainable environment created in Metaverse that aims to create awareness on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) where users can explore all 17 SDGs and learn about Woxsen University's dedicated efforts to support each goal. Project Syntax Spotlight
+Syntax Spotlight is an initiative launched by Woxsen University to provide English classes to students from the Munipally Government School (Telangana, India). The project commenced on 25th July and is scheduled to run for a duration of two months. Through this program, the university aims to enhance the student's English language skills, enabling them to communicate effectively and confidently. Centre of Excellence - ERS
+The CoE – ERS in collaboration with Pontifical Catholic University of Brazil, can serve as a hub for research, education, and advocacy, bringing together experts from various fields to share knowledge and best practices. With Wellness Centre and a dedicated counsellor in place, Woxsen University majorly focuses on the mental health & well-being of both the student & faculty community. It provides the individuals with a supportive environment that can help them thrive both personally and professionally.
Achieving to inspire young minds to take ownership of their mental and emotional well-being, the wellness centre initiated Mindfincent series. This includes a series of sessions where esteemed mental health speakers interact and connect with the students and staff.
Wellness Centre is committed to creating a mentally healthy environment for everybody at Woxsen University. It offers individual & group counselling sessions to both students & faculty by focusing on improving productivity, strengthening relationships & their overall well-being.
Woxsen University's Wellness Centre provides multiple support groups to promote the well-being of its student community. These groups include counseling sessions, candid conversations, dedicated support groups for men, and additional resources.
Human Library
+Human Library focuses on using real human stories to initiate a dialogue between readers . This initiative creates a safe space where individuals can have conversations and ask questions about sensitive topics in a non-judgmental setting and eventually create a more inclusive and empathetic community.
Candid talks
+Candid-Talks is an initiative to reach out to all students individually and have a one-to-one conversation about Young Adult Life. Having access to one-to-one conversations with a trained professional can help students develop coping skills, build resilience, and improve their mental health.
Heart-Unlocked
+Creating a circle of support is an essential aspect of promoting well-being, and the Heart-Unlocked, a community service volunteers initiative does just that. The initiative recognizes that students are more likely to seek help and support when it is provided by their peers. Read More
Support group for sexual harm & abuse
+Woxsen University provides an inclusive environment where students are free to express and seek help. Stringent policies are levied pertaining to student’s security and safety.
Support group for men’s mental health
+The support group provides help, assistance, and group counseling specifically for men. The idea is to encourage men to seek the assistance they need and to look past the preconceived notions that keep them from doing so.

Woxsen University is committed to upholding ethical standards in all aspects of its academic activities and campus infrastructure. The university has implemented a range of policies, including Student Code of Conduct, Student Grievance Redressal Policy, Student Code of Conduct, Anti-Ragging Policy, Policy against Sexual Harassment, and Policy to Support Differently-Abled Students. These policies are designed to promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all communities at the university, and to ensure it operates with integrity and transparency.
The adoption of environmentally sustainable practices has been pivotal in laying policies, strategies, and implementation methods at Woxsen University. Minimizing any detrimental environmental impact, carbon footprint, mitigating global warming and exploitation of resources is key to our efforts. Following policies are implement and conservation initiatives are taken up accordingly.
Water Conservation
+Woxsen University has set appropriate strategies and activities to sustainably manage water usage and wastage by rainwater harvesting, drip irrigation, construction of small dams in elevated regions and is planning to implement more such methods.
Energy Conservation
+In our efforts towards better energy management and reduced energy consumption, we have installed energy-efficient LED bulbs, sensor lights, 30 solar water heaters and Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) technology for ACs.
Transportation
+To restrict negative vehicle emissions, we have a designated parking area near the main gate entrance, beyond which fuel vehicles of students & staff are not permitted. Moreover, for all campus operations, we use EVs. We encourage students and staff to either walk, cycle or skateboard within the premises.
Waste management
+Woxsen University affirms its commitment to proper and efficient waste management by adopting the best waste management practices; to reduce, reuse, recycle or safely dispose produced waste, while ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
Woxsen University recognizes the importance of economic responsibility and is committed to giving back to society in meaningful ways. It provides socio-economic based scholarships and merit based scholarships to deserving students to support their education and enable them to achieve their goals.
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the university has made Covid vaccination available to students, employees, and their families. It has partnered with the Milaap Foundation, Breakthrough Foundation, and SSP Chawrasia Foundation to make general donations towards corporate social responsibility initiatives. In addition, the university has organized several social initiatives such as blood donation camps, the Elevate program for underprivileged students, and Street Cause (one of the largest student-led NGOs in the country) to renovate dilapidated schools in villages.
