Students from the School of Technology at Woxsen University made a remarkable mark at the AI4Impact Hackathon hosted by Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology and sponsored by Kavion.ai. Team TEAMX — Karri Sahithi Reddy, Shashank Pullabhatla, Meghashyam Kandula, and Sashvitha Reddy — received recognition as an Appreciation Project among 75+ teams and 280+ participants from 15 institutions across India.
Their project, OmniSign: Bidirectional 3D Sign Language Translation Ecosystem, was designed to break communication barriers through AI-powered real-time sign language interpretation, enabling more inclusive public and private spaces. The hackathon journey reflected collaboration, rapid problem-solving, and the potential of technology to create meaningful social impact.
Congratulations to the team for representing the School of Technology and Woxsen University on a national innovation platform.
