Congratulations to Madhurya Muppala, B.Arch. student (2021-2026), Woxsen University, for receiving the Commendation, Best Student Thesis Category, at the D-Next Student Design Competition 2026, organised by NOVARCH Foundation in collaboration with D-arc BUILD.
Her thesis project, CineMaaya, Cinema Hub, Hyderabad, explores what it would mean if cinema were not just something we watched, but something we could experience, interact with, and become part of. The project reimagines cinema as a space for viewing, learning, creating, celebrating, and community engagement, shifting the audience from consumer to active participant.
With over 90 entries from across India, this recognition reflects originality, interdisciplinary thinking, graphic expression, and depth of exploration.
