The School of Liberal Arts & Humanities, Woxsen University and the Centre for Diplomacy & Public Affairs, Woxsen University hosted Vadivel Raj Sundaram (VADI), Co-founder & Executive Director of Cultural Synthesis Ireland, for an insightful session on “Irish Diplomacy: Relevance and Challenges in the Contemporary World.”
The lecture explored the evolution of Irish diplomacy, Ireland’s journey from colonial rule to its role within the European Union, and key developments including the Good Friday Agreement, Brexit, global trade tensions, and contemporary geopolitical challenges.
The discussion also highlighted Ireland’s Asia-Pacific strategy and the growing importance of India–Ireland relations across trade, migration, and education, while emphasizing global citizenship, socio-cultural integration, inclusion, and positive peace in an interconnected world.
