B.Tech scholars Adarsh Tupsakari, Akhil Uppula, and Sanjyit Suresh Kumar from Woxsen University are driving innovation with purpose through their SIP project, DrainBot — a Smart Drainage Inspection Robot designed to improve sanitation safety and enable proactive drainage monitoring.
Developed under the mentorship of Dr. Abhilash Nair, the robot autonomously navigates water-filled underground drainage systems, detects blockages using smart sensors, provides live visual feeds, and sends real-time alerts to municipal authorities — helping reduce risks for sanitation workers while supporting smarter urban infrastructure management.
