What happens when fashion meets filmmaking? What if a costume could tell a story before a character even says a word?
As part of the Film & Costume module, the School of Arts and Design, 2024 Batch (Semester V) explored the intersection of fashion, character, and cinematic storytelling. Guided by industry expertise, students moved beyond clothing to understand how costume, colour, texture, and visual detail shape identity and narrative.
From costume analysis and character breakdowns to mood boards and ground research, the journey translated ideas into visual storytelling. This process culminated in original short films and an exhibition—where stories became characters, and costumes became an integral part of the narrative.
