Woxsen University’s School of Law inaugurated the Legal Aid Cell recently in the presence of esteemed dignitaries. The Honorable Smt. G. Bhavani Chandra, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Sangareddy, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The inaugural event was followed by a capacity-building workshop, "Kavach: Integrative Training Workshop in Law and Psychology," aimed at frontline workers. The workshop featured insightful sessions from distinguished speakers including Sri. Sanjeeva Rao, Additional Superintendent of Police, Sangareddy, and Smt. K Lalitha Kumari, District Women Officer, Sangareddy.
The day concluded with an emotional literacy training session conducted by Woxsen University faculty for social workers and abuse victims. Over 60 frontline workers, including DCPO and CWC members, participated in the event.
Dr. Sreelatha Annamaneni, Director of Compliance and Legal Studies, emphasized Woxsen University's commitment to ethics, responsibility, and sustainability through the establishment of the Legal Aid Cell.
