From heritage conservation to vibrant urban public spaces, Semester V students at the School of Architecture & Planning, Woxsen University, successfully completed their Architectural Design Jury, presenting two context-driven design explorations.
The studio focused on two significant architectural challenges:
Reimagining Chikkajala Fort, Bengaluru: Proposing an Information Centre that connects the fort’s heritage value with contemporary public engagement and the city’s evolving identity.
Reimagining the Charminar Precinct, Hyderabad: Envisioning a pedestrian-friendly retail and vending stretch that brings together commerce, culture, community, and vibrant public spaces.
The jury gave students a platform to demonstrate their understanding of context, heritage, urban dynamics, spatial planning, and design thinking.
The panel included Ar. Praharsh, Ar. Reshma Esther, and Ar. Sai Kumar, whose observations, professional insights, and constructive feedback added meaningful perspectives to the students’ design explorations.
The jury was a culmination of critical inquiry, creative thinking, and contextual design, encouraging students to imagine more inclusive and meaningful urban environments.
