Third Year B.Sc. Data Science, AI & Applied Mathematics students of the School of Sciences, Woxsen University, participated in the “Suraksha Ka Tiranga – Towards a Cybercrime Independent Telangana” campaign on 14 August 2026 at the Cyber Security Bureau, Telangana Police, Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (TGiCCC), Hyderabad.
As part of the programme, Shravi Nahar and Jenish Ramani presented their ongoing work exploring Machine Learning for Cybercrime, Data Fraud, Digital Forensics and LSTM-based Cybercrime Detection.
Their projects explore how machine learning can support evidence triage, pattern analysis, digital forensics and the detection of anomalous cyber activity, while enabling investigators to process evidence more efficiently and focus expert attention where it matters most.
The interaction with cybersecurity experts provided valuable insights that will help the students further refine and develop their ongoing projects, connecting classroom learning with real-world challenges in cybersecurity and cybercrime investigation.
