As part of the Built Environment Analysis-II (Landscape) course, the 3rd Year B. Arch students of Woxsen University, School of Architecture & Planning visited the office of practicing Landscape Consultant Ar. M. Rohit in Hyderabad on 5th October 2026.
The visit provided students with valuable exposure to the professional practice of landscape architecture, including:
• Site analysis and landscape planning
• Integration of built and open spaces
• Hardscape and softscape planning
• Landscape drawings, concepts and documentation
• Design development and visual representation
• Project execution and professional coordination
A particularly enriching aspect of the visit was the interactive presentation of real landscape projects, site plans, conceptual sketches, planting layouts and project visualizations. Students were able to understand how a landscape idea evolves from an initial concept into a detailed and implementable design.
The interaction with a practicing professional helped students connect their classroom learning with real-world design practice and understand the importance of environmental considerations, creativity, technical detailing and practical execution in landscape design.
