Faculty Research Advances the Discovery of Potential New Compounds Against Tuberculosis

Nov 04, 2026

Rajkumar. R., Ph.D, faculty member at the School of Technology, has published two new research articles on potential anti-tuberculosis drug candidates, both targeting Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv.

The first, “1,2,3-Triazolyl indole-piperazine hybrids as potential anti-tubercular agents: design, synthesis, in vitro, and in silico evaluation”, was published in RSC Advances (Royal Society of Chemistry) on 20 October 2026. The work looks at new hybrid compounds as potential anti-tubercular agents.

The second, “Green Acid Mediated Synthesis of Imidazo[1,2-a]Pyrimidine-Thiazole/1,3,4-Thiadiazole Hybrids: Design, Characterization and In-Vitro Biological Evaluation”, was published in Chemistry & Biodiversity (Wiley) on 21 October 2026.
