13-day Study Tour to Ahmedabad–Gandhinagar
An intensive academic tour focused on heritage, urban design, and professional practice.
1.The Ahmedabad itinerary included documentation of three heritage structures, a guided heritage walk led by Prof. of Practice Ar. Piyush Pandya, and visits to Sabarmati Riverfront, Sarkhej Roza,Adalaj Stepwell ,the Indology Institute and Museum, and the Mill Owners’ Association Building. The tour also featured dedicated interaction sessions at Sangath (Ar.B.V. Doshi’s office) and HCP Design, the firm behind the Sabarmati Riverfront project. Case studies on EWS and MIG housing are guided by experts and government officials from Ahemdabad Municipal Corporation
2.The Gandhinagar leg comprised a visit to GIFT City with an expert session on advanced services, and an expert talk by Ar. Ravi Ramparia - the Architect of the Multi-Modal Transit Hub and hotel at Gandhinagar Railway Station.
