Successful Completion of International Workshop at Woxsen University
We are delighted to share the successful completion of the International Workshop – Resilient Futures: Designing a Self-Sufficient Campus, held from 27th–28th September 2025 at the School of Architecture & Planning, Woxsen University.
This 2-day intensive workshop brought together students from Woxsen and other colleges across India, fostering a diverse exchange of ideas, perspectives, and design approaches.
Guided by our expert mentor, Ar. Leong Tatt Man (Director, Tierra Design Studio Pte Ltd., Singapore & International Professor of Practice, Woxsen University), participants explored how a campus can evolve into a self-sufficient and resilient ecosystem through the lens of the 5-S Approach (Sovereignty, Systemic, Strategic, Scale, Solutions).
???? Workshop Highlights:
In-depth sessions on water, food, energy, biodiversity, and campus life
Collaborative strategies addressing sustainability and resilience
Hands-on model-making exercises to translate ideas into tangible interventions
Possible solutions proposed included water-sensitive landscapes, renewable energy integration, food loop systems, waste reduction strategies, and biodiversity corridors
The energy, creativity, and commitment shown by the students were truly inspiring, and the models presented demonstrated innovative, realistic, and future-ready interventions.
A big thank you to all participants, faculty, and staff who made this workshop possible, and to Ar. Leong Tatt Man for his invaluable insights. Together, we took a step towards reimagining campuses as living, self-sustaining ecosystems.
