The program emphasizes on creativity, exploration, design thinking, solution finding, aesthetics, craftsmanship and entrepreneurship in the creation of lifestyle products, transport and mobility design, usage of new-age technologies like Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and more in designing new products and packaging for the global consumer market.
Students graduating in Industrial Design learn a wide range of artisan - based hand skills and processes, digital design skills in 2-D graphics and 3-D modelling for rapid prototyping. The experience of workshops, internship and industry projects at the end of each semester will make learning complete. Product Designing is all about creating new three dimensional products through an efficient process of idea generation, development and evaluation. Product Designers understand the relationship between art, science and technology and have the ability to exploit each of these things in different ways to create new products.

The process includes nurturing a design from the early concept stages to make it a commercially viable solution suitable for mass manufacture. What are the Accepted Entrance Tests at Woxsen for B.Des (Hons.)?
+To apply for B.Des (Hons.) program, one must appear for Woxsen Design Test (WDT) or submit NIFT, NID, UCEED score followed by Psychometric Test + Personal Interview that also includes portfolio review.
WDT is a 90 minute online test comprising of 2 sections:
Section A: MCQ - 40 Marks
Section B: Skill Test (Creative Aptitude, Sketching/Drawing, Storytelling Skills) - 60 Marks
In WDT, no negative marking is incorporated.
