It gives us immense pleasure to share that Woxsen University has signed a MOU with the UNESCO Chair of World Linguistic Heritage at the University of Basque Country(UPV/EHU), Spain.
The Chair specializes in minority languages and is integrated into the UNITWIN network. It focuses on cultural and linguistic wealth, focusing especially on vulnerable and endangered languages.
Dr. Anik Nandi, the founding Director of the Centre for Languages and Multicultural Communication at Woxsen University has been collaborating with the Chair as an External Researcher of the Chair since 2012. The current collaboration between CLMC and the UNESCO Chair will now jointly contribute to the protection of the linguistic heritage of Indian languages, work towards quality multilingual education and promote initiatives that value linguistic and cultural diversity.
The intention is also to develop academic programs that will entail knowledge exchange and research mobility-related activities.
