A career in the field of design is considered to be the most lucrative career. There has been a sharp rise in demand for design professionals and this has proportionately increased the competition in design entrance tests across institutes.
Design Entrance Exams are some of the most competitive tests that are considerably different in comparison to other standard entrance tests. These entrance exams test you on your creativity, sense of aesthetics, aptitude, problem-solving abilities, illustration and visualisation capabilities.
At Woxsen we follow a step-wise admission process to access ideal candidates for our design courses.
Submit your application for the course you desire before the deadline. You will need to submit a Statement of Purpose with your application. The SOP should specify your motive behind pursuing the course, your academic achievements and the goals you wish to accomplish after completing this course.
The Woxsen Design Test is a specially curated test for aspirants who wish to pursue their B.Des with us. The exam is designed to test the students’ creative abilities, general aptitude, and drawing/sketching skills. The questions put across could vary depending on the course you choose.
Our B. Des specializations include Fashion Design, Interior Design, Communication Design and Industrial Design and each of these design specializations demands a certain skill set that we look for in the candidate. The assessment is curated to test the aspirants on the same.
Additionally, you could share your scores from NIFT, NID, UCEED, SAT or CUET.
Candidates who clear the WDT are asked to appear for the Psychometric Test. This test analyses you for your cognitive abilities and your personality. The test has a range of questions from verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, logical reasoning, writing and more.
Many candidates wonder how to prepare for psychometric tests. For starters, you could look up several design mock tests online and try to solve them. You can also brush up on verbal, quantitative and reasoning questions. However, when it comes to personality tests the best tip for cracking the psychometric test is to be truthful and be yourself.
Post the assessment, successful candidates are called for the Personal Interview round. The candidates will be intimated of the date on which they will have to appear in advance. The Interview Panel assesses the candidates based on his/her creative abilities, subject knowledge, communication skills and other capabilities.
On clearing all of the above rounds, the candidate will be offered admission into their desired course. The candidate will then have to secure their admission by paying the required fees. Once you secure your seat, you’ll be admitted to one of the leading design institutes in India. You are now a step closer to a successful design career.
We encourage candidates with good academic history to apply for the Scholar’s Round to earn a 10% scholarship. This is over the merit-based scholarship of upto 50%.
Kindly note that applying for the Scholar’s Round doesn’t guarantee the scholarship. The panel will evaluate the candidate’s profile against the selection criteria, and they will award the scholarship to successful candidates.
