Self-Learning facility named the 'Vithal Gandhi Centre'.
Built on an expansive
70,000 Sq.ft facility, the Vithal Gandhi Centre will provide students access to over
10,000 books and journals and 33000+ online resources. Students can now look forward to
accessing the world-class library to access books, journals, annual reports, market
studies and reference titles or use it to borrow books, read newspapers or use it just
as quiet place to study.
This vast collection will cover a broad range of topics
from management, design, architecture to technology and more!

- - To offer the best Library and Information Services for the
students, faculty, and staff of Woxsen
- - To provide effective access to learning resources in all
required formats
- - To meet the teaching, learning, research, training and
consulting needs of Woxsen
- - To keep the academic community abreast of the latest
developments and to provide them with updated information on business and management
- - To ensure the highest level of user satisfaction
Policies
By the act of using any facility of the Library, a user agrees to abide by the rules of
the Library.
- - Users must carry ID card while entering Library & produce
it when asked by the staff.
- - Silence must be observed in the Library. Sleeping is
prohibited in the Library.
- - It is permitted to work in-group and study verbally in the
designated area, provided it does not disturb the decorum of the Library & does not
affect others in the Library.
- - Use of Tobacco products including smoking is prohibited in
the Library.
- - Mobile phones should be in silent mode.
- - Computers, Tablets & other Electronic gadgets are allowed,
just for purely Academic purposes. Playing games on them is strongly prohibited.
- - No person may misuse, damage or attempt to damage any
Library resources. The members shall be responsible for any damage done to the
documents or any other property belonging to the Library, if anyone is found doing so
he/she will be charged the full replacement cost of the material.
- - Leave your personal belongings, such as bags, note books,
etc., outside the Library entrance, on your own responsibility. The Library disclaims
any liability for loss or damage.
- - Drinks & Eatables are not allowed in the Library premises.
- - Books should be handled with care. Marking on books is
most objectionable and may lead to cancellation of membership privileges. Our
University Library is following Open Access System and hence the members have the
privilege of direct access to book shelves in the Stack and Reference and Reading Hall.
It is important that the classified arrangements of books according to the numbers, is
maintained in the shelves for the convenience of the members themselves. A book could
be freely taken out of the shelves, on no account should they be reshelved by the
members as they lead to misplacement of books. Such books may be left on the nearest
table and the same will be shelved by the Library Staff.
- - Member cannot bring personal books/photocopies etc. inside
the Library for consultation; however they can get special permission from the
Librarian to use them for reference.
- - All Library resources must be borrowed before leaving the
Library. Un borrowed items taken beyond the Electronic Gate/Security Desk are
considered stolen. Offenders are liable for suspension and stern disciplinary action.
- - Photographing, Filming, videotaping and audio taping are
not allowed without the permission of the Library Authority.
- - PAll documents are issued till the date stamped on the
date label or official receipt of issue. If there is any discrepancy between date label
and the Issue Receipt, it is the borrower’s responsibility to inform the Library Staff
at the Circulation Desk about it.
- - To encourage timely return of Library materials and to
provide optimal sharing of the collections, fines are charged for overdue items.
Borrowers are responsible for returning items by the due date. If items are not
returned within the due date, fines will be charged.
- - Users are requested not to leave any personal belongings
like laptops etc. unattended. The Library will not be responsible for the loss of the
same.
- - Deliberate tampering of RFID tags and unauthorised exit of
books will invite penalty.
SERVICES
Circulation of books
- All the sections within the centre provide varied loan
privileges, for circulation of books.
Online Catalogue (OPAC)
- OPAC is provided to search Books and other reading materials
which are available in the Library. It provides basic and advance search options to the
users and maintains the next available status.
Digital Library Service
- Digital Section incorporated for all the library sections is
facilitated by Computer Systems, providing access to variety of E-Resources. Includes
E-books, E-journals, Conference Proceedings, Reports, Statistical Analysis, Company
profiles, E-newspapers, and whole lot of material for fulfilling the academic
requirements of the library users..
Access to E-resources and Databases
- The Central Library system provides variety of E-Resources &
Databases to supplement teaching, learning and research activities. These E-Resources
can be accessed even from outside the campus.
CD/DVD Content Service
- The well-stacked CDs/DVDs offer varied content material,
which can be accessed at the library
FLOOR PLAN
Library's beautiful and user-friendly infrastructure includes big spacious halls, digital
sections, huddle-rooms, circulation counters, air-conditioned well ventilated premises,
neat and clean toiletries, fresh filtered water, lifts and staircases and well maintained
library sections.
Special attention is given on the upkeep of the library building by regular inspections
and continuous up-gradation of the infrastructure.
- Building: 70,000 Sq.ft areas extended in 5
floors.
- Basement: Scholars hub - A separate section
is dedicated for Ph.D. Scholars. While you enjoy your quality time studying, sip on
some hot brewed coffee from the Library’s very own cafe ‘Coffee & Co.’
- Ground floor: Property counter, Circulation
and Lending section, Reference section, Engineering section, Arts and Design section,
Architecture section, Reading area, Newspaper reading room, OPAC, New arrivals,
Journal/Serial Section, Periodicals Section, Competitive Examinations section with 20
seating capacity.
- First floor: Management section, Thesis,
Circulation Desk (Self Check-in and Check-out kiosks)
- Second floor: Seating capacity for 50
students.

E-RESOURCES
The Central Library system provides variety of E-Resources & Databases to the users to
supplement their teaching, learning and research activities.
These E-Resources can be accessed inside and outside the campus. For using them inside,
users just need to click on the link of desired E-Resource available at library portal.

OPAC
The central Library system provides OPAC to search Books and other reading materials which
are available in the Library.
OPAC provides basic and advance search options to the users. It tells about status of
availability of the document.
