The transition to university life can be both exciting and daunting for freshers. To ensure a smooth and engaging start to their journey at Woxsen University, the Student Council launched the KYC – Know Your Campus campaign. This initiative, running from August 17 to September 4, aimed to familiarize new students with the vibrant campus life, diverse facilities, and numerous opportunities awaiting them.<\/p>\n

The Concept of KYC<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The KYC campaign was designed as a social media-driven initiative, providing glimpses of our campus and showcasing various activities to help freshers get acclimated to their new environment. Over the span of 23 days, we leveraged social media platforms to share engaging content, highlight different aspects of campus life, and keep students informed about ongoing events.<\/p>\n

Kickoff Event<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The campaign commenced with a grand inaugural event on August 17. The ceremony featured welcome speeches from university officials and senior Student Council members. Freshers were introduced to key figures, including deans, faculty members, and club representatives. The event set the tone for the following weeks, emphasizing the importance of community, collaboration, and exploration.<\/p>\n

Social Media Engagement<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Throughout the campaign, we posted daily updates on social media, providing freshers with a virtual tour of the campus. These posts included:<\/p>\n

Campus Highlights<\/strong>: Images and videos showcasing key locations such as academic buildings, the library, sports facilities, dining areas, and student service centers.
\nStudent Testimonials<\/strong>: Short clips of current students sharing their experiences and tips for navigating campus life.
\nEvent Announcements:<\/strong> Regular updates on upcoming workshops, activities, and club events.<\/p>\n

Club Activities

One of the main highlights of the KYC campaign was the series of initial activities conducted by various student clubs. Each day, different clubs hosted introductory events and activities, allowing freshers to explore their interests and get involved.<\/p>\n

Club Expo and Recruitment<\/strong><\/p>\n

The KYC campaign concluded with a grand Club Expo on September 4. This eventprovided a platform for all student clubs to set up stalls, display their activities, and recruit new members. Freshers had the opportunity to interact with club representatives, learn more about each club’s mission and activities, and sign up for memberships. The Student Council also participated, inviting students to join and contribute to the campus community.<\/p>\n
